Smol Cat has no streak, no badge, no red dot and no reason to open it. It will not interrupt you while you are typing, will not appear in a video call, and will never move the page under your hands. Press Escape and the cat goes, no fuss.
It is not a wellness app and it does not claim to improve your health. It is a few seconds of something soft in a day made of demands — and it asks for nothing back.
No account. No tracking. No profile. The extension never reads the pages you visit, never touches what you type, and never records where you have been.
Every cat is drawn in code as a shape, not downloaded as a picture. Every sound is made by your browser as it plays. The one thing it ever fetches is a single line of news from us, when you open its menu, and that request carries nothing about you. Open the Network tab and check. You should not have to take anyone's word for this.
